Science & Engineering Research Mentorship

MehtA+ high school student Tanvi P. was invited to present her research at Stanford University’s 5th Annual Virtual Neuroscience Forum. Over the years, she has earned multiple science fair honors, including recognition as one of Thermo Fisher’s Top 300 Junior Innovators.

About our mentorship program

The MehtA+ Science & Engineering Research Mentorship program supports K-12 students in developing meaningful research projects across fields such as AI, neuroscience, zoology, environmental science and other STEM disciplines. Students work with a mentor to produce research projects they can showcase on their resumes, submit to journals and conferences and for competitions such as science fairs.

Mentorship is available in both one‑on‑one and small‑group formats, with flexible 10‑hour and 15‑hour packages. Families are only billed for actual meeting time, either 1‑hour or 30-minute sessions, depending on what works best for the mentor and student.  Our mentors include advanced undergraduate students, master’s and PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, recent graduates, and industry professionals.

Each project begins with a collaborative planning phase where the mentor and student outline a timeline, milestones, and expected deliverables. Throughout the program, learners receive guidance across the full research cycle, including

  • literature review
  • experiment planning
  • data procurement and analysis
  • technical skill building
  • research paper writing
  • poster creation and presentation

Rather than starting from a fixed list of topics, project ideas grow out of early conversations between the mentor and student, shaped by the learner’s curiosity and the mentor’s expertise. This approach keeps every project authentic, personal, and genuinely student‑driven.

The MehtA+ Science & Engineering Research Mentorship program empowers students to think deeply, create boldly, and take ownership of their work, supported every step of the way by a mentor who believes in their potential. Fill in our interest form today.

AI in Medicine, Neurology, Zoology, Environmental Science, etc. - please feel free to write more than one field of interest
What is the student's background in their research field of interest? (e.g. do they know any coding languages, has the student participated in any previous science fairs, etc. It is totally ok if the students doesn't have any prior experience with this research field.)
Is the student exploring interests, choosing a topic, refining an idea, beginning experiments/builds, or already mid‑project? If the student is already are working on an idea, please share it here.
