AI in Visual Arts Camp

Description

Sure, you may have heard about Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Annie Leibovitz, Steven Spielberg. But, have you heard about DALL-E 2?

Explore the application of AI to various visual art fields such as drawing, painting, fashion, sculpture, film, in this virtual one week introductory summer camp for 5th – 12th graders, under the tutelage of MIT and Stanford engineers. Students will be learning how various AI models and concepts – Convolutional Neural Networks, Variational Autoencoders, Generative Adversarial Networks, Recurrent Neural Networks, Transformers and Dimensional Reduction – work in the context of visual art domain.

Students will join the AI art revolution by creating and curating their own AI + Art Galleries. Towards the end of the camp, students will also be participating in the 100K MehtA+ Money Startup Pitch Competition where they will work in groups of 3-4 to pitch startup ideas related to AI + Visual Arts.  Students who successfully complete the camp will receive a certificate.

The MehtA+ AI in Visual Arts camp was a fantasitc experience. We learned about many concepts in AI that were new to me. The teachers had great knowledge of the concepts and explained them in a simple manner. Throughout the camp, I learned about many cool tools that I had never used before.
