Science Fair Project Discovery Hub
About our Science Fair Project Discovery Hub
An AI driven approach to explore what students can discover and build.
Science fairs are where curiosity translates to real world impact, yet most students only ever see a tiny fraction of what’s possible. Many students lack access to advanced labs, exposure to emerging fields, or guidance from someone who knows how to turn an idea into a real research pathway. The scientific world is far bigger, richer, and more exciting than what students typically encounter day to day, and the MehtA+ Science Fair Project Discovery Hub was built to introduce students to this wonderful scientific world.
Developed by MIT and Stanford engineers, researchers, and educators using AI research tools and insights from past winning projects, the Hub helps students navigate 1,600+ science fair project ideas across all 22 International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) categories. Each category breaks down relevant public datasets, software and low‑cost tools that will make real scientific research accessible. Each idea breaks down the scientific hook, core concept, research questions, materials, experimental plan, pitfalls, level of difficulty, project variations and what makes the project competition-ready.
And when students are ready to build, MehtA+ Science & Engineering Research mentors provide the structure, expertise, and human insight that AI research tools alone can’t guarantee, especially when those tools can misinterpret data or oversimplify complex scientific concepts.
The Hub is not about choosing a project for students. It’s to give them the opportunity, exposure, and support they deserve to create something meaningful.
